Qlik Sense Bug Fixing Published on 27.09.2023 News BI-Blog Qlik Sense May 2023 Patch 3 causes REST connection error: "WITH CONNECTION" is not allowed It appears that upgrading to Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows May 2023 Patch 3 or later causes REST connections to fail with the "WITH CONNECTION" error not allowed. The "Allow WITH CONNECTION" option is not available in the REST connector settings and cannot be changed. The good news is that Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows August 2023 and later versions are not affected by this issue. Therefore, the simplest solution might be to upgrade to the August 2023 release or a newer version to fix the issue. However, if you need to stay in the May release version, there is a manual workaround solution: Back up the file qsdfw_qsefw_qlikview.qliksourceconfig before you make any changes. Ensure that you do not keep the backed-up file in the same folder. On each Qlik Sense Server node, navigate to: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Qlik\Custom Data\QvRestConnector\ Locate the file qsdfw_qsefw_qlikview.qliksourceconfig Replace qsdfw_qsefw_qlikview.qliksourceconfig with the file specified in the article. This manual change should fix the problem. Be sure to replace the file with the exact name and do not keep additional copies with different names in the same folder. It is recommended to monitor the release notes or this article for updates in case Qlik provides an automated solution for this issue.
