With the new Release, Qlik continues to drive an improved visualization and creation experience.

Two new chart types in the visualization bundle help drive increased insight and data literacy for a variety of use cases.

  • The Trellis Container allows users to show a master visualization broken out by dimension value into a series of charts.
  • The P&L Pivot table offers advanced customization options to help with financial reporting, great for showing things such as profit and loss statements. Further improvements to the bar chart allow more control and styling options, and the map object now includes an exploration menu allowing consumers to toggle layers, labels and other settings to style the map interface.

For authoring, four new capabilities have been added. o A grid layout option for small devices allows organizations to choose the rendering method on small form factors (e.g. mobile devices).

  • A copy to clipboard feature allows people to re-use values from charts and tables in Qlik Sense applications.
  • An updated container object with better integration capabilities provides more flexibility in creating Qlik Sense sheets.
  • Support for push notifications in iOS and Android mobile apps, with links to Qlik Sense apps, allows administrators to send notifications to users in scenarios such as system events, new versions of available analytics and other useful notices.

With the multi-cloud deployment options, including Qlik Sense Enterprise on Kubernetes and Qlik Cloud Services (enterprise SaaS), some key features have been added.

  • The cloud hub is enhanced with additional tenant management and content organization features, and the ability for users to export visualizations and sheets to a variety of output formats such as Excel, PDF and image.
  • Teradata and S3 connectivity have been added for multi-cloud to expand data connectivity.
  • Qlik Sense Enterprise on Kubernetes now runs on the Red Hat OpenShift platform.
